Liverpool Street – Station

Train stations are for embarking and disembarking, but if you look closely they all have incredible stories to tell.

Tucked away under the shadow of the city,

It stands defiant.

Known in infamy,

As first to have to greet German bombs,

May 1917.

162 souls are remembered on its walls,

As is the man assassinated after pulling back the curtain

On the marble memorial.
