The Strand – Red

A curious road that runs parallel to the Thames. I like it because it seems to be like a very compressed version of London with everything from theatres and boutique shops to high, low and mid-range restaurants and lots of iconic architecture.

Distance from London is measured by the distance from the Charring Cross end of the Strand.

Only Greenwich meridian is as geographically important.

5937 miles to Tokyo.

5940 miles to Lima.

At St Pauls you’d be equidistance,

But, to many the Strand is the centre of the world.
