Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Should the classics be parodied?

Seth Grahame-Smith’s parody novel, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, did for me what the original didn’t…it made the story readable. Many will say that classics should remain untampered but I don’t think I’m unique in not finding many of them easy to access. At least this book means I’m aware of what is a reasonably interesting story. While I’d not consider it particularly well written, and nowhere near as interesting as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, it was an entertaining read, so if you’re bored and wanting some 19th century gore, go for it.
