Goodge Street is known to many as the place where people occasionally protest the Scientology headquarters. I used to work just down the road from the station and I have always found the people of the area much more interesting than the station or area.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but
Lately I sometimes feel a bit,
It’s only ever Scientologists and coffee shop staff
That come to see me.
I know self-pity won’t help,
But a crowd of workers in luminous jackets and a bunch of weird religious types,
Hardly makes you feel wanted, does it?
Maybe I should just go?
The one down the road seems happier.
A holiday on the Central Line,
Sounds good to me.
